Shelly N
I have a pdf file that I created that I need to make changes to and a few additons, my original is gone in the last computer crash but was able to save the pdf. Any idea how I can accomplish this?
christinee
Unfortunately, there is no way to edit the PDF that I know of. You can try to cut and paste the content into a word document and edit it that way, but it sometimes doesn't always work. If anyone knows of a way to edit PDFs, I would love to hear it since I've had this problem myself.
Shelly N
Thanks Christine. I have stumbled and fumbled with this many times but I also don't think it is possible. Guess I am resigned to copying and pasting. It is a 43 page book though....Ugh.

Wolfie
In order to edit PDF files, you need to have both a reader and a writer. The writer is the program that allows you to edit those files. We have it, but there is no way I can send it to you. It's a huge file/program.

rodentraiser
.pdf pretty much locks everything in so you can send different files to print and not lose your formatting. That's why at Kinko's they insist on everything being in .pdf format and also that you proof one copy of a print run. I've seen some horrible formatting problems when a Word document is printed. If I make a resume or something, I always leave it in original form and make a copy to , save in .txt and .pdf. With it in the original, I can always make text changes if I need to.
