Working with Laser Cut?

So my Magnolia purchase fell through and I'm actually soo anxious to work with a laser-cut house...I'm still deciding which one though...

I wanted to know, if anyone has worked with them, how bad the black dust on the edges is? Can you still stain the wood without it marking too badly? Also, does it affect the paint colors?

Just wondering...I'm actually debating a Beaumont in lasercut...I see a beautiful bricked Beaumont in my dreams!!! :)

It's not dust, it's charring, and it makes a beautiful coloring to the edge of the wood. I've built lasercut furniture & sign kits in the past.
Can you still stain the wood without it marking too badly?
Depening on the color of the stain, the char can enhance the appearance (the mission-style dining furniture is a lasercut kit):

Also, does it affect the paint colors?
