Scotty
I love those philosophical slogans/words of wisdom that sum up attitudes to life - if you could choose one, what would it be? On my kitchen wall I have.... Life is not about the breath we take but the moments that take our breath away. I also have....born to shop not mop. but my favorite is... It's not the destination but the journey that's important.
sexyfeet
This one is my absolute favorite! Life is an uphill battle, and it aint about how fast you get there or what's waiting on the other side, it's the climb!! Miley Cyrus

Sherry
No particular 'saying'. I just remind myself to act in a way that will leave me with no regrets when it's time to go home. And try to have as much fun as possible while doing that!
LLyn M.
I have two fave "slogans".. Do unto others,as you would have them do unto you! and For those to whom much is given-much is required! Perfect!
heidiiiii
I have two. One is a plaque hanging on the wall in diningroom and it says "When life gives you lemons, Make lemonade." The other is a nice sized fridge magnet on the front of the fridge. " Fat people are harder to kidnap!" (my buddy gave me that one year when I was feeling sorry for myself. Gave me a big laugh!) Sherry
Our pastor had a really good sermon a couple of weeks ago, about setting standards and values for our children. He said the problem with the 'Me' generation is that we say we have to 'do what's right for me'...but the standards we set for ourselves, we keep lowering until they are easy to live by, and much easier than the ones our religion has set for us. I kinda liked that thought and had to ask myself if I was doing that...sometimes, I have to admit!

minifan
Um...because I'm a simple-minded type of person it comes from Disney's Cinderella..."Have faith in your dreams, and some day, a rainbow will come shining through, no matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish, will come true." And oddly enough from the Golden Girls - Magenta - what a nasty color,...when your sad, your blue, when your green it's with envy, mad, you are red red, but Magenta, well it's a mix of colors, so when I don't quite know how I feel, I'm Magenta..., the only use for that nasty color" - it's not an exact quote, but it's close enough for me...

JuliesBoyz
I am sure most of you have seen this (it's from a miniature website ... www.dollhouseminiatures.com) but it seemed appropriate here for those that might have missed it! A MINIATURE VIEWPOINT I have tree stumps in the bedroom A bordello in the hall Box rooms, varied sizes, Hang in rows upon the wall A dollshouse in the bedroom And another by the door A castle, jail and baby shop A wishing well and more! You’re not like Other Mothers My despairing family cry You’re living in another world You’re nuts, I hear them sigh Other People’s Mothers They say in stern reproof Use irons for their clothing Not for shingles on the roof Or making little flowers Of puff paint, blue and red Other People’s Mothers Don’t get sawdust in the bread Other People’s Mothers Bake wondrous cakes and pies Not creatures out of Fimo With bewitching little eyes Other People’s Mothers (I can’t believe it’s true) Keep spotless tidy kitchens Not paint and wood and glue Other People’s Mothers Rumor has it—Clean their floor They don’t cut up the budgie cage To make a jail door Or interrupt the bidding At bridge to say—“Three spades, And can I have your shirt To make an outfit for my maid?” Other People’s Mothers Must have a boring life How tedious to be A perfect housekeeper and wife No polystyrene sandwiches No fairies on the shelf No dreaming of another world You created by yourself Other People’s Mothers Have got their lives all wrong They have their Christmas once a Year We have it all year long!!! MINIATURES FOREVER!
