speednbird
I am currently building a duracraft ch 600 Victorian house. I am building it for my daughter. My grandmother bought this years ago with the intension to build it for a granddaughter. Since I am her only grandchild (grandson). She never had the opportunity to build it. After her passing I found it in her attic. I decided that day, if I had a daughter that l would build it for her. Well I am building it right now and I am having a blast. tercon
Welcome Stephen, I too am new to building my doll house after years of it in the attic never put together. I said I would give it to my first granddaughter born; I have a son 16 and daughter 18 and they started fighting over who was going to have the first daughter so I guess I'm giving the house to my daughter and building a lighthouse with the side house for my son to pass on. Now there is peace in the family. Enjoy and I will be watching for pictures.

pdlnpeabody
Welcome to the forum! Yep, building miniature houses is definitely a blast. My daughter is too young for the two houses I'm working on, but will be soon enough, although I'm almost certain she's going to want a castle. If you haven't been there yet, there is a dollhouse shop in Palm Harbor. It's small, but they just opened less than a year ago and the owner is really nice and knowledgable. Ron's in Orlando is another shop worth the drive up I-4.
