-defunct account-
As a result of a small mix up, I happen to have a spare 2012 (no that is not a typo) Spring Fling Contest House kit, yes that would be the main kit you would need to enter this year's SF contest - factory sealed. In keeping with this year's spirit of affordability, if you wanted to enter but are tight on cash; I'd like to offer to mail you my spare. My only conditions are that you must live within the Continental US (as I will be paying the shipping costs) and you must honestly intend to enter. That said, I realize sometimes deadlines can not be met. I also realize this has potential to be an easily abusable offer (thought I really believe that won't be an issue with anyone here). Assuming I get multiple requests, I will choose the forum member who has been the most active / contributory. I intend to hit the post office Saturday morning this week, so: offer ends Thursday night (midnight) and I will PM you for your mailing address FLING ON!
Jackiem
That is very nice, I am sure there is someone who will appreciate your offer!
morgansmith
Regardless of the type of person who gets your 'spare' kit, it's obvious the type person you are. What a kind and unselfish thing to do.
Mad for Mod
Wow, that is very generous. I would love to have it. I have a few great ideas! I haven't been on here much lately, so I totally understand if you decide to choose someone else. Either way someone will really appreciate this offer! mybrainhurts
Your offer is a good and generous one. I definitely thought about it but I'm going to let it pass to someone else who will have the inspiration and time to treat it right. I just wanted to say "that's awesome of you." havanaholly
I would love a couple of the greenhouse kits to add to Mildred, but I'm not really eligible to enter the contests, or I'd LOVE to build the kit itself, too.
-defunct account-
oh my goodness you guys. Seriously though the thanks go to the good folks at Greenleaf once again. They sent me a duplicate instead of another piece by accident, sent out the replacement for the minor goof within an hour and told me to keep the SF kit. I'm just passing along their awesome vibes to someone who really wants the item
Selkie
Gee Holly, you should do a build-a-long one as a prototype for all the folks who are new to miniatures.

jbresr
What an awesome and kind offer. I would love to have this but alas I would not be able to have it ready on time. I think you will find someone who will do a wonderful job with it.

lacharlie
YES!!! I finished the house...now for the yard. I'm so excited to enter this year. Got a question though....do y'all secure the house to the landscape base or not? Thanks in Advance! Tamara
morgansmith
I know I do alot of things different, so don't take this one as THE answer. Many things like this are about personal preference. I secure mine toward the end which has always worked great for me. Can't wait to see your fling!
havanaholly
It depends on lots of things.. If you electrify, it depends on where you locate your power strip. I tend to trace around the house in place and then remove it to landscape. Then if I have to go back to change the landscape I can set the house elsewhere.
