sparklepuppies
Ok, I got up to the "choose files" step, and I can see that tab but it doesn't let me choose it. I'm trying to do this from my iphone because that's where my pictures are. Is that the problem or should it work? I don't think you can upload pictures from your phone. Can you email them to yourself and upload from a computer?
Dalesq
I use my iPhone to take the photos and then transfer them to my iPad to crop, etc before uploading. I've found that I need to leave room for cropping so that the image is a smaller file size, otherwise it either won't upload, or takes forever because the file is really too big. Try reducing the file size before uploading.

I_Dream_In_Miniature
Hi! My name is Andrea and I'm a new (or newly revived) dollhouse lover. I recently found a sweet old dollhouse for $15 at an antique shop and couldn't resist buying it. I knew there was a box of dollhouse furnishings in the attic from my only other dollhouse foray - a ready made little kid house I furnished for my daughter when she was 4 (she's in college now). I filled my new treasure with what we had and by the time I was done, some dollhouse enchantment had come over me. (I think it happened the other time too, since the box in the attic had enough furnishings for about 3 houses.) So I'm now working on my first adult dollhouse - a mysterious peeling paint Gothic Revival - using an Orchid kit. I'm incapable of doing anything according to the directions, and I started modifying the kit even before I ever encountered the word "kitbashing" - with some home-made wavy glass Gothic windows and a chimney and fireplaces. I'm having so much fun, and I'm looking forward to trying some of the techniques I've seen by the amazing miniaturists on this forum. I hope this introduction isn't way too long! Looking forward to meeting you all! -Andrea Wow; Andrea! I want to see photos of your work. Do you have a gallery; yet? I will have to look; I am still pretty new here. (just joined the site yesterday) I will have to start going to garage sales, and a few of the flea markets (the indoor ones) around here and see if I can find a great find. abloom
Hi Michelle! So nice to meet you. My life got crazy and I'm still trying to get an album together. I'm hoping to get to it soon. Thanks for asking!
abloom
I did it! Got an album up of my antique shop bargain, and another one of the dollhouse I'm working on, an Orchid. Thank you all for the helpful advice!

GenieBird
Hi Andrea. I've just looked at the pictures of your house in the gallery. I love it. This is the look I want for my witch house. When you say you did the worn weatherboards using different wood stains, did you already have the weatherboards on the original house, or have you actually made the weatherboards yourself (or did you achieve the weatherboard look by simply painting)? I think you're managing to achieve the worn and spooky but homey look ...
