Halloween Poem

T'was the eve before Halloween

The sky started to rumble like I've never seen

The lights in the Greenleaf Warehouse began to flicker

And in the corner you could hear a ghostly snicker

Mini Man creeped in to look around

And from a box he heard a strange sound

To his amazement a Haunted House began to assemble

A cold chill in the air made him tremble

As the door opened it was full of ghouls and ghosts

And a witch stood there as the host

A spell was cast for Mini Man to come in

That is when the nightmare begin

No matter how much he began to scream and shout

There was no way out

Mini Man was overwhelmed with fear

For he knew the end was near

All of a sudden he popped awake

Relieved that it was all a fake

Looking in the mirror, Mini Man could see the slime on his face gleaming

Perhaps I wasn't dreaming

Build the Haunted House if you dare

For Mini Man has issued a warning Builder Beware!

I told Jimmy he had to look at the Halloween forum format, and that he needed to start posting more in the forum, so he wrote the above poem. He loved the Halloween look of the forum, and so that was his contribution, LOL!

I did type it in for him, since if he had done it himself you wouldn't have seen it until New Year's ....

:death: What a hoot! "Nightmare on Greenleaf Street" Ok -- we're warned and hopefully our Halloween builds will be less frightening than Dean's nightmare in Jimmy's poem :holloween:

Love this place -- Never know what's gonna pop up :cucumber:

Thanks Jimmy & Linda

Mini Man fears nothing (except other men who write poems about him)!

I'm just joking Jimmy! It's a kick in the pants! I just sent a link to the folk around Greenleaf that actually met Jimmy (that's right, Linda and Jimmy have met most of us in person). I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it too.

Thanks Jimmy!

can I print it and pin it in the classroom to see if my students "get it"?

Hugs

Jimmy says that's fine. Just put his name on it, is all. He would have replied himself, but I'm at the other house and he can't remember how to do it. Gotta work on that, LOL!

Building in full scale as well as in mini,

who is as talented as Linda's Jimmy?

But no, the man paints and if that's not enough,

he writes poetry, too! What other stuff?

He knits and crochets :)

Great job Jimmy.

He knits and crochets :hide:

Great job Jimmy.

he draws and paints

he fixes the a/c when it's broke

he fixes the heater when it's broke

he fixes the water when it's broke

he surprises me with presents all the time

he builds dollhouse workshops

he builds decks

he installs pools

he installs floors, both real and dollhouse [hardwood, linoleum, ripping up and replacing rotten floors, etc.]

he can sew using a sewing machine, he can sew by hand

Oh Peggi. You might not should have gotten me started here.
