Victoria's Farmhouse for beginner?

Hi

My name is Amy, I am new here, and I have never built a dollhouse from the ground up.  My daughter, who is 9, wanted to build the VF with me.  Would this house be too difficult for a beginner?

Lucky you to have someone in the family who also enjoys miniatures. You'd be surprised at how many of us labor alone. Welcome to the forum! Ask any questions that may come up and you'll get answers. I see you've been browsing the forum, so you probably know that!

If you plan on using tape wire for lighting, I would pay extra for the milled plywood instead of the milled MDF.  It's almost impossible to put the eyelets into MDF.  And MDF makes the house very heavy.

Victorian Farmhouse is a great house to start, I think....and I would agree with Sable to get the milled plywood rather than the heavier MDF.

Welcome to the little family, Amy.  Once you finish the VF for your daughter you might browse the Greenleaf store to find one for yourself.
