pupa
This is where I always come back to for the best crafting advice. I had success with polymer clay for miniature food. now I would like to make real size ornaments for myself and as gifts. E.g baby footprint. I would really like these to be around for a long time (a few decades?) and worry that if I use salt dough it will mold? what do you recommend? anything that I do not need to use a separate stove for (ie can use the oven we cook food in?) thank you!! Any links/examples appreciated.
Sable
Cold Porcelain Clay is an option. But you have to paint it cause it's kind of yellow looking once it dries. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AxqmMyLwxk0
havanaholly
Papermache is a nice medium, use all-purpose white glue, NOT flour and water paste both to eliminate mold and to discourage bugs. Once your finished item is dry and painted or finished however you want, you can seal it to preserve it. You can also do a little research to see about using a clay to make a mold of whatever you want and make your cast from plaster of Paris.
