kathi17
When putting in the entry bay, the front door framing pieces are shorter than the entry side walls, so they are too short to reach from the floor to the ceiling slots. What am I doing wrong??? The only way I can see to attach them at both ends is to cut off the tab on one end, and put a shim in so they will reach. Maybe I am just a little slow, but I can't figure it out.
rodentraiser
You might want to add to your title, Kathi. A lot of people don't know the Taft General Store is the old version of Brimble's Mercantile. I'm sorry I couldn't help you with that kit, though. I really don't know anything about it. Hopefully, someone else here will be able to tell you what's going on with it.
kathi17
Thanks Kelly, I'm not sure how to add to my title. It seems like not many people have built the Taft, Brimbles seems to be a lot more popular.
rodentraiser
Hmmm, you could ask an admin maybe. They might delete your thread and you could start over. Or just start a new thread and when you post it, ask that an admin delete this thread. It's actually the same store. Taft was the older version and when it was upgraded, they gave it the name Brimbles. When Greenleaf started their houses, it seems most of them were named after presidents, so you have the Jefferson, the Washington, the Monroe, the Garfield, and others. The Taft belongs to that set. The Taft has two large square bay windows in front and no porch, is that right? Otherwise, I think it's pretty much the same.
