Mimajo
I finished the exterior of my first build. As I look at it, I am thinking the blue is too bright. I've posted two pix in my album. Opinions? Suggestions?
JustCallMeAnna
If your gut tells you that it's to bright, you will FOREVER see it as too bright. Regardless as to what anyone else thinks. Maybe a more muted blue would work better?
Mimajo
I'll let it sit awhile and see. Do you think a white wash would mute it? Or jus repaint?
havanaholly
I hear tht shade of blue loud and clear as a klaxon horn. I would think a grayer blue would play more happily with the rest of the palette. which seems much softer.
Roxxie2
I agree with Holly. The house color is really soft and I really like the shade you chose. The bright blue doesn't go in my humble opinion. You could go onto the Sherwin Williams color tool where you can try out colors before you paint. That's what I would do before going to all that work repainting the trim. Good luck! That is so awesome you are building the Beacon Hill as your first house....it looks great, by the way! Mimajo
Yeah, it didn't look so bad until it all went together. Don't have the mindset right now, will do some work on the interior. All this is after a few non-miniature projects. They do get in the way, don't they? Thanks.
kokomo
Oh, gosh, I think it looks fantastic! I love it!
claireliontamer
I love the colour but I don't think it goes with the main colour of the house. You could try toning it down or painting the rest of the house a more vibrant colour if you want to go bright?

kathi17
I agree about the blue, it almost makes the house look like a toy. Get a bunch of paint chips, including some in lighter or darker shades of colors you already have on the house, and see how they look.
