Luanne
I have an old bookshelf that looks similar to this but was already painted. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/128985976800677510/ It has museum wax spots and a few spots from wear and tear. Using a make up brush helps with the dust but I think it needs a semi deep clean. How and what should I use to clean this? Should I be concerned about warping? It looks sturdy. The smallest part is about 1/3 inch wooden dowel. Thanks for any idea. L.
KathieB
I'd use Murphy's Oil Soap and a minimum of water. It's not likely to warp if it isn't soaked.

havanaholly
If there's wax residue left, put a paper towel on top and go over it with your iron set on lower temp setting (after the Murphy's).

I'd do this before the Murphy's and let the soap remove the remaining residue. No sense in spreading the wax while scrubbing.
