That was a really charming read.

I really identify with the quote about "reading books by older women I would never meet". I remember miniatures feeling a bit solitary in the 70s - even though it was a big hobby at that time. It just wasn't shared much where I was.

Thanks for sharing! I love the quote about making worlds, not just scaled objects. I've always compared my making dollhouses to an author who creates a whole new world, like JK Rowling or L. Frank Baum or JRR Tolkien- I just use tangible materials instead of words.
