Working with MDF

Can someone tell me what the best way to join MDF walls.  Gluing? Nails and glue?

It seems so heavy for just glue.  I read somewhere about using dowels, but that seems soooo much trouble.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jo

I used a combo of wood glue and tacky glue to make my daughter's mdf dollhouse. It's gotten some hard use over the last year, and is still going strong. I had to glue some trim back on after one of the boys tripped over the house, but I've found dd sitting on top of the house several times with no resulting damage.

In the RGT house I had, I used nails and glue for foundation and side walls, then glue for interior dividers. That was per the instructions if I remember correctly. Mind you, it was a BIG house and rather wide, so it needed the nails or moving it around might have been perilous (imo). MDF sure is heavy.
