Duracraft roof fit issues (Linfield)
I am constructing the Duracraft linfield and I’m dry fitting the roof, but it’s just not fitting right. Do they ever? Should I sand and try to figure it out or glue and fill in with wood putty? I have done everything correct with the instructions, so I don’t know what’s best to do. Any suggestions?
before & after cheap plastic light turned into industrial fixture.png
So I'm still on a lighting kick... I bought these cheap plastic lights from China a while ago... They were boring as is, but had good lines. I tried painting them silver with metallic acrylic and a brush... NOT successful!.. So I bought some aluminium spray paint and gave them a good coat. Unfortunately the bumpyness left from the original paint job still shows on this tester lamp. The rest will only be getting spray paint for a smoother finish. I also added some copper tape and some nail art rectangles to the edges before painting, to add a bit of detail to the plain shade and make them seem a bit more chunky and industrial. I added jewelry wire to the inside of the shade to form a simple bulb cage.
Sorry for the poor quality image of the makeover.. I resized this picture down quite a bit to match the size of the light in original form and it became very pixellated..
Kitchen is done, Wish the inside windows were not pink. No way am i attempting to repaint them inside.
Living room. Just need to glue in stairs and add front door.
Not nearly as nice as you all can do but I am happy with it.
Got the roof on. Took me 3 hours..3 hours!! The way to secure roof is another nightmare. The tower was a huge pain with all the fitting, cutting, measuring, recutting, Maybe it is just me? I don't know. I will be glad when it is done.
