Mimajo
Just received my Houseworks working windows for my Tailor Shop. No installation directions! This is my first time with windows that didn't come with the dollhouse. Help, how do they get installed? Especially how does the top window stay in place? These are slipping to the bottom. Sable
First you dry fit them into your opening. Remove any plastic inserts. Check to see if they are the same depth as your walls. If not you'll have to do some work to make them flush with the wall. Some people just add their interior trim to the extended frame. I use my table saw to cut the frame. After the dry fit and opening adjustments you need to sand them with an Emory board, prime them, sand, clean them very thoroughly with a dry brush and I spray paint mine which you may not want to do with opening windows. Mimajo
Thank you. In the package is the assembled window, 4 pieces of inside trim, and six long very thin pieces that I have no idea what to do with. Any idea?
Sable
I wonder if they are muntins. Do the strips have notches in them? If so, they are muntins used to make window panes.
Mimajo
Yes, in the description online it says "wood to make mullions". No notches though, that should be fun, lol.
