lizchinchilla
I'm usually a big fan of doing kits from Greenleaf, but I wanted to try something new, so I hit up Craigslist! I found this awesome dollhouse on it, picked it up for $100 from a guy whose dad found it in a barn in upper MN. There are no makers marks on it (that I can find) and I was just wondering if anyone had any info about this massive dollhouse. It's 5' wide, 2.5' deep and 2.5' in height. It does adhere to the traditional 1:12 scale. The staircase is removable. Anything would help me right now, thanks! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/453174781239952192/ https://www.pinterest.com/pin/453174781239952173/ Edited December 8, 2016 by lizchinchilla

rodentraiser
It looks like it might be hand made.

jdodyd
The size of the rooms is amazing - generally I find dollhouse rooms too small to get everything in.
lizchinchilla
I think it was probably handmade, the wood used is half an inch thick, which I have never come across before in a dollhouse. I reverse image searched it with no results, so if it was made from a plan, it was someone's personal plan that they never shared. The most interesting thing to me is the stairs. The wood has warped a bit, so I can't fit it in properly where it would line up with the opening in the top floor, but it's completely removable, has a door on each side and wallpaper on one. And it has the little knob on the front so you can pull it out to access the rest of that room. It looks like it can even be positioned to section off any part of that room, kind of a DIY room size and shape. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/453174781239954636/ https://www.pinterest.com/pin/453174781239954641/
