Imblessedwth6
I'm doing the Victoria's Farmhouse. I was wondering if everyone paints a primer inside the house before decorating?
havanaholly
If you are planning to stain anything, cover it with masking tape before you prime. The reason for priming wood you will want to paint or wallpaper over is that among the chemicals naturally occurring in wood and MDF are acids that will, over time, leach out and turn your paint or paper brownish and in the case of your paper, brittle. This is also the reason for using acid-free papers and in the case of templates, acid-free poster board or card stock.
