My first attempt at stenciling! The red area will be the child's play area and the grey a sewing room. The sewing room paper is in the last photo. Need to polyurethane floors before I put up the paper.

I have no plan B as yet. I received the paper for the sewing room and it is a brown shade. This was the perfect paper as in thedescription of grey on white. I was not sent the wrong paper as it is the same number.

Can you match the background color with a wash and cover the floor with it (your stencil will still show up) or draw around your stencil design with brown paint for a dimensional effect.

There's a possibility Itsy Bitsy will redo the paper. Or I may sand down the stencil repaint with the wash and re-stencil with a light brown to match the paper. However I am not a brown color person.
