shamrockgirl18
I scored something for $2 today from Salvation Army. I believe it's a piece from a Nativity village, meant to resemble Bethlehem. It's a tent with rugs displayed all around, like a seller at market would have set up. I love the way it looks, it even has a light in the top, but I am going to turn it into a Bohemian fairy's hang out. I like the way all the rugs are hung around, kind of like someone might hang tapestries as makeshift walls. But I need to make it look less desert-y and more magical. I'm thinking it needs a mattress with some blankets and lots of pillows, some lanterns strung up, some bottles of wine and maybe a little guitar propped up somewhere? I also think the stone floor needs alot more moss to soften the appearance. havanaholly
If it were me I'd lave it as is, or maybe add a hookah & divan, and let a djinn live in it.

I have actually seen tiny little mini hookah's for sale/trade on Listia (kind of like Ebay, but with 'points' instead of $)
havanaholly
I seem to recall one of our members made a mini hookah.
shamrockgirl18
Another lucky find! I was at a different thrift store today, and I spotted a little porcelain fairy doll. She's not jointed or posable, but she looks lovely in her seated position. She was attached to a wooden pedestal, and I had to pry her off, breaking one of her legs and arms/hand in the process. Fortunately I was able to glue all her appendages back on. She had on some wings, but they also came off in the process, and they weren't very nice, so I left them off. I guess this tent is going to be more gypsy/bohemian than fairy. She looks like a beautiful Gypsy: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/?app=gallery&module=gallery&controller=view&id=128427&browse=1 I found another little doll too- she looks like a fairy but she didn't have wings. She was also on a wooden plaque thingy that I removed her from: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/?app=core&module=members&controller=profile&id=3025 I love when I start a project, and then fate seems to help me!
