Hello! Newbie in MD

Hello, my daughter and I got a free dollhouse that we are turning into a fairy house. I am not sure what it is.... 

 

That inspired me to buy an Orchid kit to turn into a Haunted House. 

I am having troubles figuring out if I should paint before assembling? Is there anything else I need to do before assembling?

Hi, Tiffany, and welcome to the forum. 

Painting walls before or after assembly is personal choice. There's no right or wrong way to do it. The Orchid doesn't have any parts that are particularly difficult to reach after it is built, although I'd not install the stairs until the walls in that room are painted. (Some folks leave out the stairs entirely, as they take up a lot of room. Personally, it bugs me that they end nearly at the wall. How difficult for the little people to maneuver!)

Many of us paint the trim, window frames, etc., before installation so as to avoid getting paint on the surrounding walls or roof pieces.

Hey there!

New to this and I am also creating a haunted house with thee daughter! This is going to be wicked fun. 

Cant wait to see final results. I've never built any dollhouses before and I am struggling a bit with the instructions. Are there any tutorials on this site? Or anywhere else?
