Oh wow! I had no idea!!! Now I see why it was damaged...I was wondering why. Well...as I said, $175 would be a good deal. But I am less inclined towards a $1200 flip. Poor little house...it needs to find the proper owner.

Hey, someone correct me if I'm wrong here. Doesn't the half scale Thornhill have a straight up and down roof like the Jefferson while it's the large scale Thornhill that has the hipped roof? I thought at first this was a full scale Thornhill until I read the measurements.

Samantha, I hope this one doesn't make you feel bad (don't know how much you paid for your kit)..https://janesville.craigslist.org/atq/6061582816.html

Terrible but, we don't have craigslist in Australia and I doubt Craigslister's are willing to ship to Oz.... so I'll just tell myself it's the price of living in paradise. :D

This is a Dura-craft Victorian the second edition (I think mid to late 80s) where the stairs were at the side instead of in the middle. Crazy colour scheme.. lol

There were two versions of the half scale Thornhill, that one that is noted here and the straight up and down roof as you describe which was called the Colonial Thornhil.

Lots of offers all around Chicago and Milwaukee, this one is been showing a lot, I bought the plans to build it from scratch because I want to make it only one level and with one window and 3 doors on the front: https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/atq/6050657848.html

Those little cape cods are so cute - I saw one in a shop once, they seem roomy and solidly built. The stairs start in the front of the house - it's really a nice floor plan. Those prices are so tempting.

Thank you, Valerie. I don't usually pay a whole lot of attention to half scale, so I didn't even know they made two versions of the half scale house. Note: don't anyone ask me any question about half scale houses. LOL

Does anyone know about this house?   Do you think it's worth the $90 they are asking for it?  I searched sold listings on ebay, but didn't find anything on this house.

Honestly, I wouldn't spend $90 on that. I'd buy an Orchid for $40 and just build it to look broken down.

No; I'd spend the money to buy & build the Greenleaf Haunted House kit (which I actually have built, NOT haunted; it's a cute little cottage).

Not worth $90. Look at it closely - it is a Lafayette house (by duracraft) with Haunted styling. So, you could get the same house for a lot less and just decorate it as Haunted:

Or as Sam said - the Arthur and Orchid are so similar, you could get one of those and do it up. For a lot less.

Had it had a tower, maybe, but otherwise no :) are you looking to do a haunted house? You canhaunt Any and all of the GL kits, all depends on what look you are after so to speak.

What IS it with that house? That the second time I've seen a complete setup like that for so cheap. Nothing like getting an $800 house at $100.

Its stalking you....Contact the seller and see if they would be willing to ship? Out of curiosity?

Congrats, Sam! That's a really nice house at a fantastic price!

I know, Carrie, but I just really don't like the style all that much. I could have gotten that one in Portland that they were advertizing for I think $75 or $50, but I knew I just didn't like the house. I suppose I could have gotten it and resold it on eBay for a better price, but I was too lazy. Anyway, Aggie got that house and she's probably way better able to do something with it than I could have.

If I were in the midwest I sometimes think I could just live life driving around buying $50 dollhouses!!! Id never sell them for profit tho, so I'd need to be rich. Some great deals out there.

I say if it is of interest and it is $100 or less...itsa deal!

My craigslist bargains are my favorite houses ever. Thank goodness I am far from the hunting grounds of the midwest...
