Why did they put the bedroom furniture into the livingroom? The seller is obviously not the owner...the owner must have passed away because I wouldn't part with that house...I love it, too. It is too huge for my real life house, but I love the wood floors in it, the attic (with hopscotch chalked into floor) the halls and rooms and the portico. It is fantastic. If it were in my town, I'd probably make an offer. My offer would reflect the warped floor boards. It is wonderfully finished I think.

It looks to me like it is actually signed 1969 with a very faded 6. Definitely not 1909. But 1969 yes.
Elsbeth
The price is too high (for me) on this one, but it is adorable and made me realize how lovely Brimbles can be. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Greenleaf-General-Store-Dollhouse-Mercantile-Shop-Furnished-w-EXTRAS-/162565722450

Or maybe the house was originally built in 1969 and then updated along the way. That's a Lawbre staircase and Timberbrook closets and I'm not sure if they were in business in 1969 either. Maybe it belonged to someone famous or a celebrity had it made for their child. Maybe it was on a movie set. And somehow along its journey, those facts were lost. We need to get a Dollhouse Private Eye on the case!

Perfect to use as a reference as I tackle the renovation of the Beacon Hill staircase.

I was thinking this too Sable... I thought the actual wooden structure (it's thick) could be 1909.. but after that... it's been through many renovations. Imagine how heavy it is! havanaholly
I also thought that date was 1969, with the top part of the 6 blurred.

minikelli
I'm with Holly, I'd say that's a Duracraft Farmhouse -- even has some of the railings still. Did have to laugh that they had the description on that auction as straight copy and paste from the RGT's site. Looking at that picture -- no way is that 3/8" plywood! lol

LadyGunn
Remember the odd lot of random bits of trim and siding leftover from an Arthur that someone posted on ebay last month? Well, I messaged and told the guy what he has, but it didn't sell and he's relisted it with the exact same description of "not sure if it's the whole house or not" malarky. At least it's $8.99 now instead of $9.49 (plus $8.15 shipping). :deadpan voice: Woo. Big savings on such an amazing lot. Now this. This is what I came to post about. There's a Kickstarter for a small 3D printer that looks like a very nice deal. The husband and I are thinking of backing it so we can get one at the cheaper price. He's not ready to pull the trigger quite yet though. My trigger finger, on the other hand... ;) And now for the craigslist enabling: Alexandria in Wichita, KS for $125: https://wichita.craigslist.org/bab/6177301525.html (Good thing I found one for $40 a while ago or I'd be frothing at the mouth for this one) Plantation dollhouse in Tulsa, OK for $100: https://tulsa.craigslist.org/bab/6196817503.html One of those plasticy front-opening houses (Sharon has a very nice one) in the Tulsa area for $40: https://tulsa.craigslist.org/tag/6210082066.html A new Ikea dollhouse in the box in Tulsa, OK for $25: https://tulsa.craigslist.org/tag/6211368757.html (I was thinking, "Gee, that looks just like a Lundby! ... Hey genius, it says Lundby right on the box." I are brilliant. :D )

Elsbeth
Interesting scratch build - not the prettiest on the outside, but the inside has an interesting floor plan: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Handmade-Wooden-Victorian-Cottage-Style-Doll-House-in-1-12-Scale-/252685966388 I love a good hallway wth stairs (separated out from the living/dining rooms.
