My only nit is that they spray-textured the interior beams. They look a little snowy. But imagine rehabbing that with some lovely spanish tile and some dark hardwoods. At one point (pre-spackle) I had thought of using the textured aerosol for a dollhouse; now I know I won't.
fov
I like that Brookwood! I agree that texture on the interior is a bit much, but I really like the look of the stucco and barrel tiles outside. I've never seen one finished in this style -- it makes me want to pull out my Brookwood kit and build it! I'm going to save those pics for inspiration. minikelli
Alright, going to try and do the rest of the cool VA links in just one post. First is one I already own, and LOVE! It's a Walmer house and I believe looking at the front panel this is what they deemed their French Colonial, I have mine in an album here listed under French Chateau. https://richmond.craigslist.org/art/d/antique-doll-house-kit/6232062486.html Pretty certain this is Walmer as well... https://richmond.craigslist.org/tag/d/large-southern-mansion-doll/6219794275.html A nice deal on a Brookwood, https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/tag/d/greenleaf-brookwood-dollhouse/6228705939.html An even better deal on a Fairfield: https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/art/d/doll-house-kit-unopened/6230927925.html Another Walmer, a build Cherrydale with addition: https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/tag/d/very-nice-large-doll-house/6232952228.html

1martinimomma
Here is a very unique and nicely furnished southwestern adobe dollhouse. I love all the carpets and pottery that comes with it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Southwest-Adobe-Dollhouse-Bakery-and-Sandwich-shop-plus-Beautiful-One-of-a-kind/232424731088 Also, a real nice Lawbrie Glen Clove. 1martinimomma
Not sure if anyone is interested, but I happened upon this seller on ebay that just listed a bunch of smaller scale kits. I have no idea if the prices for the starting bid are reasonable or not. https://www.ebay.com/sch/eack1906/m.html?item=352124691696&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

My understanding is that Cassidy Creations sold its patterns and molds to the woman who owns Scale Designs. You can still find some Cassidy Creations kits on her site, but not sure if they are the originals. I've put together two or three Cassidy Creations kits, and they were quite nice. I've also done some Karen Benson kits (she does 1/2 and 1/4 scale), and they were nice as well. I see some of her quarter scale items listed by this seller. I hate when I have to bid, though. I never get the item. Someone always swoops in with a few seconds to go and outbids me.

And so many auctions are 6 days...I know, I know, it is how people make money and it is normal competition, and there are apps to bid automatically for you at the last minute, but I just want to buy it like I'm at a store.
1martinimomma
26 minutes ago, Debsrand56 said: Someone always swoops in with a few seconds to go and outbids me. On ebay, you have to become the swooper and watch the auction closely until it's over if it's something you really want. That's what I do when I bid and I really want something. I set myself a limit and rarely go over it. (that's why I don't have that Granville I wanted and lost by $2) If don't care one way or the other if I get item then I put in my bid, and 98% I don't get the item. If you bid early, then when the auction is almost over, someone is going to swoop in a bid a $1 more than you and win. Do you put items you want to bid on in your watch list so you can keep track of them? I agree I love the buy it now and make an offer so much better, but sometimes that not an option, just like how frustrating it is for local pickup only!

I can't see the kits you are talking about though... mustn't have them listed for worldwide. 56 minutes ago, Debsrand56 said: I hate when I have to bid, though. I never get the item.
