Ebay, Etsy & Craig's List Links

I said that excessive shipping was the main hindrance to buying on Ebay.

You are so right.  I don't mind spending a reasonable amount for shipping but this has gotten out of hand.  I read that eBay wants you to report high shipping costs to them.   They know it's a loss of revenue when buyers do enact this tactic. I have been  unwilling to do this as I fear I might get banned from the buyer.  I am looking at house I would like to buy, she only wants $80 but she wants $145 for shipping.  Sorry lady you lost your sell because of the outrageous shipping costs.

Ok I give in..I am going to have to restore the shipping address I used to have in the US as most things to Canada are outrageous  if they ship at all.I am only half an hour from the border so I think I may have to sort of  US for doll house buying. I read the wonderful offers you post and pout!!

Bargain Garfield.  The box is in bad shape.  I'm just guessing but I bet all the pieces aren't there.

This is not very far from me but I think it's way too much house for me!

Sometimes it's better to start small and work your way up. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.

OK, so I checked out the houses on Craig's List in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Tons of houses and where were they all when I was there? Hibernating, apparently. But here's something I found that was just plain weird. Here's an ad from the Twin Cities:

And here's one from Seattle:

I have to say, I've never seen this house in any of my catalogs before, so I'm thinking it might be a child's house sold at someplace like Toys R Us. But what are the odds that I'd look at Craig's List in just two places: Mpls and Seattle, and find the same house?

By the way, this one is from the Mpls/St. Paul area and I'm thinking it's the Miss Muffet by Walmer. I'd have to check to make sure though.

This is so cute! If I had not just added a new kit to my stash I would seriously be considering this one.

As usual you are right Kelly, it is the Miss Muffet, here is a link to a beautiful one that Robin made a while ago http://robincarey.blogspot.com/2008/02/miss-muffet-dollhouse.html

Didn't somebody here have that house not too long ago and asked what it was? I don't think I was able to help her. I remember because their house had 8 columns across the front, one of the only houses I've ever seen that had so many.

Red Farmhouse which is really nice, what is better, look at the Christmas decorated house in the background that is on the left in the picture.  It looks like this person has a lot of dollhouses.  Very interesting......

A few weeks ago I posted about my first dollhouse, which shows up occasionally in the Boston area. Lo and behold, here's another one! https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/bab/d/custom-vintage-doll-house/6237912538.html

The ad says early seventies... mine was bought in 1990, so I think they're a little off, but I guess if the same Greenleaf styles have been around for 30+ years it's possible this same style was being sold for 20+ years.

To anyone in the TX area(Houston specifically) g

I am in Houston, but what the heck is it?  You can't tell by the one picture. I guess it's free?   It's located in a somewhat bad area of town.  Not sure I would enter that area.
