Wonder who won the Granville on ebay tonight? I was going to bid on it, but my computer started doing something funky this morning, and I wasn't able to fix it until after the auction ended. Went for $443 plus S&H, wowza! I wouldn't have been able to afford it right now though. Sigh. And it looked like it was in such great condition...

well, of the other 3 of us that have declared wanting it, neither of us got it so I think it might've been someone outside of the Greenleaf world.

Don't underestimate the amount of people who are here watching, learning and lurking but never make themselves known, maybe saw the post here.

Anyway...this would be a cute bed kit for someone looking to try out wicker furniture. I tried the process once and it was pretty challenging but with a kit and parts already cut it might be easier. This looks pretty inclusive. I would offer 10 and see what happens :)

Here is the working window set for the Pierce!  I think this is a good price for something really hard to find.

I'm not sure if the seller really knows this house is NOT a 1940s or she purchased it being told it was.  This is from a plan from Craft Products Miniatures sold in the 70s and early 80s.

She has several other houses listed as well.  I think this one is the RTG The Quillen

Great starting bid for a 1/2 inch scale pretty pleater. Typically they are double this price. I love mine they're awesome.

:( I don't know why my links aren't working tonight. "Vintage designer Vera Christmas antique doll and dollhouse scarf" is the title of listing

Well I'm not sure a 1980s house full of $Tree & Chrysnbon furniture is worth $1.9K, either.

I love the bathroom roombox...i rarely love bathroom roomboxes!

It's a REAL bathroom using the Chrysnbon kits; it's the socks drying on the radiator and the clothes sticking out of the hamper door and the newspaper on the floor in front of the Throne...

No crown moulding. For some reason, I always look for the crown moulding. Pretty house, though.

I like moulding too (in a finished house)! It is amazing how window trims, baseboards and crown moulding can justify a higher price - even when everything else is perfect - I  just like to have those things done already! lol

It is a pretty house - my only other issue is there is no door from kitchen to diningroom - I like doorways.

Seeing all those great vignettes and the scenery behind them, she must have been a fun and interesting person. Wish they said more about her life in the ad. And I hope those buying them will ask. Just seems like such a creative person should be honored. I hope she is/was. :O)

While I truly enjoy looking at this collection, it does kind of make me sad.

All the exciting creativity, planning, love, and hard work that the artist spent in his/her lifetime, not to mention the dollars, is now reduced to a disbursement to the highest bidder and what doesn't "sell" relegated to some family members attic or garage (or landfill).

It's the same for any cherished hobby or interest that we might have as well as the sum of our lifetime's work. Once the man and his shovel finishes the job over our worn out bodies, that snippet of time is gone forever. That light has been blown out.

I'm not trying to be morbid, btw, just realistic. As I age and have increasing health issues, these facts become more apparent than ever. ... sigh ...

I hope this artist's lovely collection sells well and sells to those who will keep their creativity alive a while longer.
