Have never seen this Victorian kit before.. it looks interesting. Looking at the pictures I think it says MFG by Craft Creations, Calif. Kit is open so not sure if it's all there but looks like a fun project for someone in SoCal.

I'm not sure, but that looks like the house that can be added to floor at a time. I'd have to look that up. I just got 5 bags of my books and magazines back and unpacked today. Wow - was that fun - NOT. Naturally, none of the miniature catalogs were among this bunch. On Monday, I have the last 5 bags to unload and put away. Then because there was a poison emitting thingy inside the bags to kill the supposed bedbugs in the books, I have to let them "air" on the shelves for another week. In fact, I had to unload them wearing plastic gloved. Never mind that I sleep right next to all these books and magazines.

Anyway, I'll look this house up sometime next week, because I want to know how good my memory is.

No Holly, I love the idea but will save that for my big English house that I have been working on for about 18 months, it has a porch upstairs just right for waving goodbye.

I want to do something creepy or mystical with it. I have never done anything from either of those in my life I don't think so I can go wild and have a lot of fun buying and making  "stuff". I have a few dolls that came as a job lot when I bought a few things, ugly as ..whatever but I can redress them  and even repaint them for a creepy house. This house is going to be done on a budget..!! cough cough

Budget?

Budget? Who mouths this alien term?

One definition of a budget: a good idea that frequently doesn't work out as anticipated

Here's a half scale Bill Lankford cottage: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ARTISAN-VINTAGE-MINIATURE-1-2-SCALE-ENGLISH-COUNTRY-DOLLHOUSE-WITH-FURNITURE-/332397045742

Bill taught this house in classes in the 90s (and maybe more recently too, not sure). I bought the same house off eBay last year and mine is dated 1993.

For anyone like myself who likes to see different in regards to minis, this will do that for you just in regards to the sheer size! It is 1:12 scale though.  :)

Now this is my kind of dollhouse! I love big houses. (However, I think I would add some architectural details to the front.)

It looks like the builder used a single piece of floor tile on each of the "wings", and I wish they had either put in a dividing wall or else finished wallpapering that entry.

Wow, you could totally do an upstairs/downstairs type scene.  Downtown Abby, maybe?

I think it is  an Olde English  spelling of budge it  which means you have to move it because something else needs the space

I was being facetious. I wanted to say I had never heard of that word before - it's alien in my world. LOL

I think I have the 1:48 copy of that set. I assume it is a knockoff and not 1:48 by Bespaq - or do they do 1:48?

It is marvelous in any size.
