It is marine grade plywood not as good as the beautiful smooth lightweight baltic birch plywood that RGT uses.. I thought RGT used MDF on all their houses now. queenannediva
My Queen Anne and Foxhall Manor are made with the beautiful 3/8" cabinet grade milled plywood and are still only available in that wood. They couldn't offer the larger houses in MDF as no one would be able to move them they would be so heavy. I don't know if they are still offering the smaller houses in both plywood and MDF especially since RGT has cut back so much.
kokomo
Some of you have probably seen this before. It says it won 1st place in the California State Fair. Only one picture though: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/for/d/halloween-miniature-haunted/6718772171.html
fov
That was on display at the Benicia flea market last month. It's HUGE! I'm not sure if it's 1:12 scale, it may be, I remember thinking it seemed very large, bigger than a Beacon Hill. (Then again, I mostly do half scale so my sense of scale for 1:12 may be all out of whack...)

When you looked into the bedroom a lady doll is standing there. When you hit a button lights change the scene and you see ghosts all around her. The house was made by the family that owned the Benicia miniature store and boy is it big. The grandfather made it.

fov
It's not a Beacon Hill. It might be one of the modular RGT houses? But I wouldn't be surprised if it's a scratch build. My Queen Anne Rowhouse is based on the American Craft kit, but it was scratch built by the owner of Cooper's (the Benicia miniatures store). queenannediva
The dimensions are the same as the Beacon Hill except it is 5" higher. 3 hours ago, fov said: It's not a Beacon Hill. I remember going there years ago and the place was practically empty assumed it closed long ago.
fov
The shop is closed but I think they still do some business out of their house. They host the Benicia flea market once or twice a year and sometimes have open houses.
Sable
37 pieces of silver miniatures. This auction house is not far from me. I may have to take a ride and have a look. I fell in love with a 17th century silver chandelier in Amsterdam but the price was prohibited. Maybe this collection will be more in my budget. I need to ask where it was all made and when. https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/65674706_37p-miniature-silver-furniture-antique-diorama-set

After I visited, I bought lunch and then drove out onto that giant parking lot? boat ramp? pier? at the end of the street in the middle of the bay and ate and watched the waves come in. Gorgeous afternoon I won't forget for a long time.
fov
This is an elaborate dollhouse scene: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/clt/d/collection-of-clown-painting/6720201706.html I emailed to ask if they have a photo of the front of the dollhouse. The listing only shows the side and back. I want to see those bay windows!

fov
Sadly even after I said that I wanted to see the wall that had the bay windows on it, the seller resent me the picture of the side of the house (with the plexiglass) and insisted that was "the front", so I guess we'll never know what it looks like. In other news, the rare (and huge) Carlson's Mansion is still available in Berkeley: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/clt/d/increbible-dollhouse-mansion/6710204397.html

grazhina
Here's a dollhouse in Kennebunk Maine, which I was sorely tempted to buy. It opens both front and back. If I weren't cutting back on my houses I would grab it. https://maine.craigslist.org/tag/d/1940s-doll-house/6693569216.html

My aunt received it during the Depression and gave it to us in the early 60’s.
