Keifer
I don’t know the dh models like most of the people on here, so I had to google your artply highland. Most of the dh kits are too traditional for my tastes but that Highland I would consider. Its got a cool vibe to it, a lot of different styles would work in it. Sorry for the loss. I feel like you and I could design and decorate a house without to many conflicts in regards to style

I have considered the Brookwood... That Artply Highland is a fantastic house. I can see why you would want to build it. I would think the Brookwood could work well as a mountain ski house; I've seen some distinctly chalet-like builds, and the footprint appears to be a good size. I like its split-level interior, too. The Merrimack is also somewhat similar to the Highland, but it's very pricey in the 1:12 kit (although they do sell just the plans, if you're feeling very DIY) and the footprint would be too big, I think. Hmmm.. I have seen this before but now I'm looking at it again. It could work if I added a foundation and the side additions. I wonder if I could finagle a veranda on the front? I really want some knarled wood furniture on a porch.

I didnt even think to ask my mini friends for help.. it’s s lot to ask you know, especially for a large house kit. I should’ve known you’d come to my rescue! It was going really cheap too $69USD.. this loss hurt, but maybe there is another kit that will make a great mountain house out there. Maybe something smaller than the highland which would be better for space reasons. (Gotta build a home for your log bed. ). If anyone has ideas on a good starting point for a mountain ski house I’m open to suggestions. I have considered the Brookwood... It's not a lot to ask, Sam. Any time, seriously! I've got the HBS Craftsman kit from the 2017 Creatin' Contest that I am thinking of making into my dad's family's old homestead house in Butte Montana. It's totally not meant to be an old log cabin, but darn it - I'm thinkin' outside the box! What other kits do you have for "someday" that might work?

Mini friends are just the best! I have a Glencroft that I have considered. But I have no idea how to change the outside from English cottage to luxury rustic cabin. The interior isn’t bad for my purposes but I had my heart set on a double height living room with a statement stone fireplace. I don’t wish for much. I could just try and find a Duracraft Shenandoah and try to modify the second floor to a loft. Plus of course I want a log staircase. Yes the Merrimack would be a great ski house. Isn’t it mdf? If it is, it would be heavy which means beaucoup bucks in shipping and a cumbersome build. It’s the one thing driving me crazy about the San Franciscan... it’s sooo heavy!

minilover62
This might be along shot because of the duo requirement, but they might easy their wishes if they have no takers after a few days. This is not too far from where I live. https://janesville.craigslist.org/atq/d/doll-house-and-log-cabin/6746313688.html

rodentraiser
Interesting house. Is there anyone here who thinks this is a super bash of a Bostonian? https://denver.craigslist.org/clt/d/designer-doll-house/6743414147.html And if anyone is in Scottsdale and wants to get a lot of discontinued Houseworks fancy Victorian windows all at once, we have this house - I figured the cost of the windows and doors alone would probably be worth what they're asking for the house. Twelve single windows, two double windows, and two doors. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/tag/d/doll-house/6711275984.html And a couple of old Celerity kits for pretty reasonable prices: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dollhouse-Miniature-Celerity-The-Old-Homestead-Kit-CMH2801A-In-Unopened-Box/232997172309?epid=27025608140&hash=item363fb6b455:g:1qIAAOSwxFVb40pe:sc:FedExHomeDelivery!98311!US!-1:rk:1:pf:0 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dollhouse-Miniature-Celerity-The-Little-Farmstead-Kit-CMH2501A-In-Unopened-Box/232997186707?hash=item363fb6ec93:g:xccAAOSwBMpb405S:sc:FedExHomeDelivery!98311!US!-1:rk:28:pf:
