This would be fun, if it wasn't so high priced....It still would be fun to replicate Monticello. This is another one of those infamous Dodo birds that I haven't seen listed before. 1/24 scale

I was fascinated with the apartment building so I googled. Found a different auction, for estate items, where it sold on Feb. 22!  Maybe it's a resale.

Good find! I’d be so frustrated if I was bidding on that and then it showed up on eBay for twice the price.

I’ve never seen that site before. From the reviews it seems like auctions go lower than eBay (less competition) but shipping is very high. I’m looking at past auctions and a Jim Marcus Russian Embassy sold on the same date for $600! Holy crap! I would have paid that and shelled out for the freight. (Where I would have put it is another story...)

There are several dollhouses that ended on Feb 22, they must have all come from the same estate.

Not sure what this is but I’ve seen one like it before on Craigslist: https://www.ebth.com/items/8082013?show=

Joseph Angel: https://www.ebth.com/items/10039731?show=

Royal Albert hall: https://www.ebth.com/items/10043037?show=

Ron & April Gill: https://www.ebth.com/items/10039662?show=

Woodwork shop and attic room boxes: https://www.ebth.com/items/8528815?show= — don’t know about the shop but that attic is by Bauder Pine

Half scale front opening dollhouse: https://www.ebth.com/items/8528281?show=

Plus a lot more cool houses there if you look at the past auctions. Some of the ones I’ve linked to are older, but you can see all the stuff from the recent estate here: https://www.ebth.com/sales/52467-unique-dollhouses-miniatures-more

This was so much fun to look at - all these great houses! The Joseph Angel was beautiful...WOW! Some great prices there, too.  Thank you for posting!

Fancy Houseworks windows and doors lot outside of Chicago. I don't understand everything that the seller is saying on this post, but if anyone is close and likes this style it might be worth to try to figure it out. https://lasalle.craigslist.org/mat/d/kewanee-dollhouse-parts/6833957187.html

There's definitely something....interesting going on with the seller.

I wrote, asking "how much it would cost to ship it to [my state]", & I even added that I would understand if s/he didn't want to bother shipping (I figure it never hurts to be extra polite).

This was my response:

"House should I know?"

um, okay....

It won first prize in a dollhouse show and they let it get into that condition?  Sad.

totally agree

Carrie and Susan, sadly this will be one of those cases that we will be guessing what happened with these windows and doors. I wold have go if it would have been closer, but 6 hours driving to find exactly who knows what is not my kind of adventure!! lol, oh well!

Yes, that was my thought, too, but my real surprise is that this would be the answer to my question!!

Almost sounds like a robot.

Whoever they are - they must sell everything. I assume they'll dump it if it doesn't move.

Dura-Craft VH600 Victorian with Tower!  Low starting bid - $34.00, but has a reserve.  Shipping is only $20!  I would be tempted to keep watching this auction, but my stash is big enough!

I only see the one chair made for Sonia Messer.  The rest are mostly Chrysnbon and Concord items, including the furniture - granted some are the Concord Museum collection.  But still seems way over priced IMO.

Other than the Sonia Messer chair and the Chrysnbon stuff, most of it looked like the made in China stuff HL carries.

That's an S/W Crafts house called Grandpa's House, I think.

Sonia Messer is and isn't pricey, depending on who's selling it. I got a long Sonia Messer table and 6 chairs to it for only $50 a couple years ago. The chairs weren't the ones that went with the table, but I didn't care. I saw someone at the time selling a single chair for $59 and I think that chair is still up for auction. I also got a Sonia Messer black walnut vanity desk and stool from Shellie's Miniature Mania when Shellie had her stuff on eBay and I only paid $15 for that. I think if you do a search for the furniture on eBay and keep on checking it, you'll see some high priced items for Sonia Messer, but they tend to stay there forever because no one buys them.
