I usually bounce off the ones saying "Pull"............ hahaha. Can't believe we all pay so much attention to every minute detail and can't handle doors......... Y'all made my day today!

As my mama use to tell me don’t worry Nell you run into doors can’t find your glass (on me head) because your brain is already moving ahead of what you are doing and planning the next move

I think we’re all just great multitaskers and miniatures do help slow me down as I want each part to look it’s very best.  Since I know if you don’t do the little steps the end result won’t be as good. ( sanding , dry fit , testing etc...)

I am so amazed at how I think now after making some of my Miniatures. When I used to get magazines in  the mail.  I thought OH I love that look maybe I’ll paint some furniture or add a pillow to my house. Now I get the magazine and think can I make that in miniature.

That kitchen is up over $100 now! Wowee! And it sure gives me an idea because that's the exact kitchen I want in my shadowbox. Now, where to find blocks...

It ended at $169!

These would be great for a Three's Company dollhouse, lol! I get such a 70s vibe from some cane furniture. These looks great!

Found this house on Gumtree (Australia's version of Craigslist) and it looks familiar to me. Has someone built it from plans.. I have a feeling there are plans out there for this house. Could be wrong.. Could the DH experts please weigh in. :)

Also, does anyone recognise this house?

Sam, I always loved this house, here you can find the plans for sale I think http://www.woodworkersworkshop.com/store/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=prodshow&ref=R14_3060&sid=0tij82ceg6izedbfi6zm036l953j7shb

also, look how much they are selling this one for!http://www.mcssl.com/store/mydollshouse/catalog/product/f51b4b780f1144f2b92f964c0cc652b2

For $140 it is a very good deal, a steal I would say. It is a very big house, very rare. I would grab it fast if I was there!

Thanks for the links Carmen. I've emailed the seller, we shall see if it's still available. It's about an hour and a half from me which is about my limit for driving to get a house. :D

Mine is 30 min.

I waited years for my Beacon Hill...but it finally showed up only 10 minutes away, lol. But I do think a wider radius means more houses! Hooray!

They put a lot of work into it.

I actually love it, but realistically, yes in the real world, I'd be willing to spend up to $1600 on it. Not $16,000.

I fully realize they put a lot of work into it and their work and time and materials amounts to more than $1600, but...the market is what it is. I do love a good colonial house, though. I'd probably only have the cajones to put a few nice furnishings into it. It needs some good stuff and I wouldn't be able to afford anything after buying the house (for $1600, lol!). Who is that person who has all the dollhouses for mega bucks - Cookie something...I can't believe she hasn't snapped this one up!

Update: Cookie Ziemba is who I was thinking about. She seemed to have everything at one point. Then auctioned a lot off.

oh I agree on the work put in to it - mostly just the price.  That's a lot for a house.  Colonial isn't my thing to recreate but it has lots of potential.  @Mid-life madness is a colonial lover as well.....Hope it finds a good home as it appears it was built with love.

You know what I'd do? I'd *probably* buy it (for $1600 - in fantasyland, I know) and then I'd furnish it with whatever I liked...like some awful new owner updating the historic house with all the wrong furniture. The seller would hate me. And yet, I would LOVE to poke around in that house. And to "live in it". I feel like I "live" in each of my tiny houses.

It's a great dream, though. lol.

Of course! And it is priced to move. It is soooooo cute.

Thanks ladies! I really hope it finds a good home where it can be filled and played with! If only it were more affordable to ship dollhouses!
