If the front half is only used for a wall hanging, I expect the rest of the kit is kindling.

Did my eyes deceive me, or were there TWO of that kit in one of the photos?  I wonder if both of them are going for one price.

The house comes in two boxes.  That's something to be mindful of when looking at these older kits if the box has an A or B on them.  You might have half a kit otherwise.

Aha!  It shows up when I moused over the photo of the two boxes; a little difficult to tell with the "A" box being upside down.

Also, I noticed that next to the boxes there is a Van Buren kit in a very big, water damaged box. Box B of the Victorian kit has water damage on the top side, plus a big cut that could have damaged the actual kit, so be careful. Ask about more pictures if you decide to jump on this kit, I would.

I wasn't interested in getting the kit, so I didn't look very closely at the boxes. But Carmen is right about the water damage and if that kit is made with rabbeted edges and the same kind of wood the LOA kit is, that wood will crumble coming out of the box.

Grrrr.....I found this a couple of nights ago on Offerup. I emailed the owner after it had been listed for only 8 hours. She emailed me back and said that one person was tentatively going to pick it up on Saturday and she had several others interested. If they all flaked out, she would contact me. What I should have done was learn from House Hunters and offered $100 to buy the house.

https://offerup.com/item/detail/586161575/

Oh, well, I didn't need it and wouldn't know what to do with it and don't have room for it anyhow. (of course, all that is secondary to "I WANTED IT!")

I looked at that and I thought it was either from plans (which I've never seen before) or someone just built it from scratch.

That bay window is there because the house doesn't look like it has the original box bay window. I can't figure out that one side with the half panel. I also wonder about those staircases. ACP stairwells were cut for ACP stairs. The ACP stairs were 2 1/2" wide, whereas Lawbre and all the other staircases are 3" wide. I wonder if they've tried to fit those stairs to that stairwell yet.

Tough to tell from the photos, but I think they modified the original "box" bay window opening into a door opening for the French doors shown in one of the photos. The back hinged panel has a square opening to accommodate the fancy Houseworks bay window, as well as a door opening for a back door.

As for the half panel, I think they just removed the bottom part of the wall that's usually closed in, to provide better access to the downstairs room. Unless they were intending to add an addition or something?

My ACP came with Mini Mundus stair kits and that opening, at least on my house is EXACTLY 2 1/2 inches wide - so unless that area has been modified like other parts of the house - those stairs ain’t going In lol
