Mine was from the early 1940s; there could have been design differences over the course of the decade.  My windows were metal cut into that diamond pane design, that opened & closed and had no plastic inserts.  It also had a night light bulb for light and no hole through the floors.

I was thinking it might be an early Keystone.

I see why you think so.

and then check out the interior. Happy white shag carpet halloween!

And this one I really like the floors in - and I think the price is pretty decent. Not a blatant steal, but not unfair for the floors and papering (which I like). I'd have to redo the exterior colors tho.

I like that she added a little laundry room under the porch.

I don't know, on cold days I might like shag carpet at that scale. It must reach a few inches above the ankle, no?

lol! - it must be knee-high for the dollhouse children. The dollhouse cat will love it though.

And at least it's a neutral color. But as my mother would say 'That will show all the dirt!' but not at that height... so win win.

Bit of a nightmare when you dropped tiny things into it though, or accidentally spilt a tin of pins (like I always do).

Antique??? Really?

Oh right - I forgot they used the old "antique" descriptor. It seems like people think it's an antique if it isn't made of plastic. Sigh.

Sometimes I think they use the word "antique"  to overprice it.

Have any of you seen postings about a book named AN INTERIOR DESIGNER DESIGNS SIX DOLLHOUSES. You could buy her book, but there were never any previews of the pictures etc....I was always curious to see the houses.

Well, she is listing the houses for sale on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FRIDA-KAHLO-HOUSE-1930-I-CAN-SHIP-IT-REDUCED-TO-NEVER-AGAIN-PRICE-3500/113934148855?hash=item1a870124f7:g:tbAAAOSwJItcbxT9

I'm glad i didn't buy the book.

Perhaps she is a child, not an adult?

The book title says it all; she's designed it to be a design feature.  $3.5K USD is by her a mark down price?  It reminds me of the Treasure Island diorama my Brownie troop made in 3rd grade.

Not sure why this is dragging in extra quotes, but, THANK YOU, havanaholly; I worried I maybe there was some deep artistic merit I wasn't seeing....

It has been here before. I remember that photo with the house in the background.
