Sable
I just donated this one to goodwill yesterday. I had put it together about 20 years ago. I really enjoyed it. Took it apart about 15 years ago. https://www.google.com/search?q=3d+house+puzzle&client=safari&sa=X&hl=en-us&biw=320&bih=460&tbs=vw:g,ss:44&tbm=shop&prmd=isvn&srpd=3128068658430506022&prds=num:1,of:1,epd:3128068658430506022&ved=0ahUKEwjZx6GJ-M_VAhUKziYKHa8EC_UQgjYI3gQ
Elsbeth
They always seemed a little clunky looking to me with the big tabs sticking out (since it is a puzzle) - but maybe with extra attention they'd be fun to furnish?
Thimble Hall
Thank you I can't figure them out. I do see them as a puzzle but I have see them advertised as doll house kits and I can't see that, just wondered if anyone knew anyone who had done it
Mid-life madness
For some reason I thought Gleise did a puzzle house? But I guess they are Laser kits? http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/?app=gallery&module=gallery&controller=browse&album=6264
Selkie
My kiddos have done several of them. It's been a fine project for them and they have enjoyed them for the most part. But, I wouldn't spend the effort it would take to make them true scale house kits. Thinking purely as a puzzle, they are challenging and can be anything a builder wants them to become, taken apart and redone again. A word of caution though, the wood is not high quality creating breaks if a piece is forced much. As a house kit, they aren't to any particular scale which makes furnishing them a nightmare. The "rooms" are very small, imo, as they relate to the overall exterior. Much bashing would need to occur to create a finished looking house. If it was something you truly wanted to decorate as a lasting piece, I'd advise getting something else or be well prepared for a great deal of work to transform it. fov
I did one as a half scale house: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?app=gallery&album=3491 And my mom and I did two as gingerbread houses: http://www.emilymorganti.com/blog/?page_id=9924 These are the Creatology brand puzzle houses available at Michaels. They're close to half scale, but not exact. It's easy to make them look less puzzle-like if you cut the tabs off and glue the pieces together, and replace the windows and doors. Thimble Hall
Thank yo. I agree with you on the Gothic ones. However the ones that Emilys and her daughter did are lovely, well done

They ARE cluncky. I cut of the locking tabs since I was gluing them anyway. They end up good if I may say so. My little cousin love it the fantasy Villa I gave as birthday gift: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/?app=gallery&module=gallery&controller=browse&album=7882
