Aquarius Katie
I have a question about the farmhouse of mine. I'm wondering what tools you all use to cut the mini lumber for the trim, gutters, flooring and new pieces? What sort of saw do you recommend? Thanks! havanaholly
The first kit I ever built was the Dura-Craft San Franciscan (the SF555 model) and I used my little Xacto saw. I got very frustrated because the saw blade kept unscrewing itself from the handle, so I went to the hardware store and bought myself both a flush-cut saw and a Chinese draw saw (cut by pulling) to use on the Dura-Craft Cambridge I built next. I use the hubs' bandsaw for cutting new pieces and I have a mini table saw for things too thick to cut with my Miter Master. For basswood up to 1/4" thick I use my box-cutter utility knife.
