Elsbeth
https://www.harborfreight.com/extra-savings.html If you scroll down, there is a coupon for the 80 pc rotary tool set for $6.99. Some of the reviews say it isn't powerful enough, but a handful of hobbyists said it was fine for their uses. So for $6.99 I'm going to try it! I had a few other things to get, so shipping worked out for me. You can take the coupon into the store if you have one nearby. I saw the tool for $9.99 last week, with others saying they had gotten it for $8.99, and so $6.99 seemed good.

sparklepuppies
That's awesome, thanks! I saw a couple other things on the coupon list too I might like. My closest store is about 30 minutes away, so I might look into shipping... Or I might take a road trip Saturday.
WyckedWood
I bought one the last time I was in there but haven't taken it out of the package yet. Think it was the 8.99 price.
third_hand
I have been debating about whether to trek out to the Harbor Freight at the other end of town (mostly because they have a very reasonably priced "third hand") here in Eugene. This is reason enough to make a trip! Thanks for sharing
havanaholly
Harbor Freight is a great way to find out if you're going to want to use a tool a lot; if it wears out too soon you know you probably want to inve$t in a better replacement, and some of them last a surprisingly long time.
