Squig
Santa brought my 10 year old a Beacon Hill for Christmas so now I’m trying to figure out how to put it together!
havanaholly
Welcome to the little family, Andy. Several of our members have blogged their Beacon Hill builds. My recommendation is to invest in a couple of rolls of painters' tape and arm yourself with a sanding block, some emery boards and a utility knife with lots of sharp new blades, and assemble the shell using tape instead of glue (dry fit it). This not only helps you to figure out the instructions but allows you to sand/ shave the tabs & slots for a more perfect fit; and once it's taped together you can see which areas you will want to decorate before gluing anything together (like stairwells). I always wait until after I've stained/ painted/ wallpapered to install windows and doors, and if I don't like the kit windows & doors I make my own from basswood and strip wood. Minis On The Edge
Welcome to the neighborhood Andy! That’s a beautiful house when built! I look forward to seeing you build along the way! I wish I had blog the entire build of this one.
