Connecting my transformer

Sweet

Recommended Posts

Recently i bougt a transformer and I am wondering how to connect it to my other 'whatyamacalled'.

This is the transformer and 'the other thing':

I could cut the wires of the white one, split it and connect it under the screwes on the transformer,
or I could clip the black cable and connect it by using shrink sleeves...

Should I worry about mixing up the left or right wires?

Any tips?

Oh ok, these have diferent connectors. You will either need an adaptor piece to connect the two cables together, or you could make the connection yourself using the cable from the lighting strip. You will need to connect each of the roundwire cables to 1 of the screws in the transformer (just like in the cable that came with it). You won't need the cable that came with the transformer if you aren't using a tapewire adaptor.

Aha, thank you.
But is it important to connect the wire (+ or -) in a special order? I do not know if the screws are - of +?

Inside the plastic strip there will be two strips of copper that connect to the plugs, each one of these ends is then connected to a piece of roundwire. The circuit is closed after connecting the wires to the transformer, I think it works in either direction since this doesn't have polar ends. These strips come with fuse and switch attached, really easy and safe to use.
