Guest
It will be a breeze Joanne and you'll be dancing on air by next week. All the very best though and think of all those new shoes you'll be able to wear!

Sable
If you’ll be confined to crutches because of stitches, rent a “knee walker”. You’ll be glad you did.

Goldenrodfarm
The thought of surgery is more scary then the real thing, you will do fine! Wishing you a speedy recovery!

shannonc60
I would be scared too, but I am sure you will be fine. And better for it afterwards.

Sable
Just in case you are not familiar with a knee walker: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Costway-Steerable-Foldable-Knee-Walker-Scooter-Turning-Brake-Basket-Drive-Cart-Black/127872925?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1848&adid=22222222228072736641&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=184023652240&wl4=pla-287058629649&wl5=1015116&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=113146030&wl11=online&wl12=127872925&wl13=&veh=sem
havanaholly
You will feel (and walk) so much better once you've healed up afterwards!
blueirishmoon
Not to be a downer, but I hope your experience is nothing like my mother's. She had her foot worked on 3 times, and she regretted it. She thinks they cut too much of the bone, and she really dislikes the metal in there. At least one of the screws is floating loose, she can't walk on it right, and they can't fix it. Not to mention the poor thing looks like a mangled piece of chum. (Her words, not mine). She's very reluctant to have her other foot done, but she's thinking she needs to because it's stressing her arthritic knees too much.
kokomo
My sister-in-law just had bunion surgery a month ago and she's doing great. She's so happy she had it done because she was in incredible pain and now she's not. Good luck to you, Joanne. You're going to be fine and soooo happy you went through with it!
havanaholly
I've only had surgeries to remove tumors and implant a cardiac pacer, nothing on the feet or to relieve pain; but if I were in that situation I'd hop onto that OR gurney and tell them to wheel me in! My grandmother suffered miserably from corn & bunions.
KathieB
By the time you read this, the surgery should be behind you. Congratulations on having it done and over. Here's hoping recovery is swift and not too uncomfortable.

Beulah
Thanks everyone. I survived lol. No pain so far, I still need the other one done, but it is not as bad as this one, this one had a lot of joint trouble, as I could no longer bend my toe. I am sure pain will come, but that is ok, as long as the surgery was a success. Thanks again everyone. Hugs to you all
havanaholly
Minis are a wonderful way to ignore minor pain, and there's wonderful non-narcotic pain meds they give you after surgery.
