Sable
My girlfriend is in Florida and asked me to provide and paint some furniture for this house. It’s up in Connecticut and she can’t measure for a few months. Does anyone know what scale it is?
havanaholly
It would be nice if there were something besides that bit of purse to give some idea of the scale. 1:16 or 1:24?
SewMini
Hoenstly i think it may be a bit the other way if you want to keep it with the style if the house. Maybe like 1:10. It’s not 1:6 but I wouldnt put 1:12 in there either. It looks like one of those hiuses you wiuld put the chunky wood furniture in.
Keifer
My best guess based on its surroundings, its a 14”x 14” square, depth I’m not sure. Which would make those 7ft ceilings, so slightly smaller than 1/12th.
Sable
You all are confirming my guess that it is on the smaller side. Of course all I have is 1/12 furnishings. Thanks for you assistance.
havanaholly
The original The Dolls' House Do-It-Yourself Book by Martin and Venus Dodge (published by Chilton Books) had all its plans for houses & furniture in 1:16, and the new, revised one has furniture plans in both 1:16 and 1:12. Sable
I wasn’t really planning on making furniture because I have tons from donations to our club to use. But it’s all 1:12.
