WC
Hello Everyone, I started out collecting Marx tin dollhouses (I currently have 3) and the plastic Marx furniture. I then wanted to try my hand at building a dollhouse kit, so I bought the Vermont Farmhouse from Real Good Toys. So far, I have primed the outside walls, but haven't put anything together yet. Yesterday, I was browsing at my local antiques mall when I found a fully built dollhouse that had never been finished on the interior. It looked so lonely sitting there that I just had to rescue it. It's now sitting here beside me and I have just discovered that it is the Ashley model made by Dura Craft. I found this forum when I was researching this house. I have several questions about finishing this house, but wanted to introduce myself first. Now I will look over the rest of the forum to see where I should ask my questions. I never thought that trying to find my childhood dollhouse (the Marx lift-off roof ranch which I still don't have) would lead to a whole new hobby. Debsrand56
Marx tin dollhouses! I love them. My first dollhouse was a Marx, and I still use some Marx furniture (from eBay) in half-scale builds. Welcome! You will be able to find lots of good information and helpful people on this forum.
