Bob Hood
Started a new project with my wife Margo. Found at a yard sale. Does anyone know what the name of this house is and how old it might be. The outside was put together pretty well but the inside was a mess. We hope to make this a joint project.

Bob Hood
Thank you Tracy.......You nailed it. I did a check and that's what she is. My wife and I are really excited to have found out what it is. Based on conversation at the yard sale It may be more than ten years old. jbnmini
Wow! What a find! Looks like a fun project. Check out the galleries...there are some pretty awesome Heritage projects!
sparklepuppies
Duracraft had been out of business a few yeas when I started this hobby ten years ago, so it definitely is over 10 years old. And my understanding is they went to mdf kits before they closed, so it may be 15-20 years old.
Mid-life madness
I love that house Bob, and i have one in my build stash. You can google Dura-Craft dollhouses and information about their history will come up from a member on this site. They made some really beautiful houses. havanaholly
That looks like a real stone fireplace. Oh, does that look like y'all are going to have fun!
Elsbeth
Lovely windows. Rescuing old builds is so much fun. I love a good second hand gem.
WestPaces
She's lovely Bob, can't wait to see how you bring her back to life! I believe house have a soul, even dollhouses! I got one on craigslist to refurb when I finish the Beacon Hill. How lucky you are to have a spouse that shares your hobby - mine gives support and encouragement but crafts are not his thing
WyckedWood
I love that house, will you stick with the color palette? It's such a thrill to see a dollhouse at a garage sale.
stickyfingers
Good for you!! Like the others have said, that's a fabulous find! As much as I grumble about doing a rehab, they really are quite a lot of fun. I like to see a shabby forgotten house come back to life. asherah
I want a heritage! They are awesome. =) Good luck with yours!
Lita
It is a beautiful house and I can’t wait to see what you do with it. I noted the fireplace right away, thought it was odd placement in front of the staircase. Perhaps you can salvage it?
Mini maniac
Such a score! That will be a fun project. I wish I could get my husband more into dollhouses. Hope you both enjoy and look forward to seeing what you do with it.
