havanaholly
Like this? https://www.amazon.com/grand-livre-maison-miniature/dp/2215093595 Will you be working from a kit, or scratch building?
Qubanqtee
well I haven't done anything like this but it certainly sounds like it would be a blast! Scratch build or kit? accurate or a little liberties?
shannonc60
I am building a French house. You can see it in my blog (link in my signature), look for ‘chateau’ tag. It’s a very slow process. I do hope to vaguely reproduce the Dauphine’s study from Versailles within this build. One day.

I would so looooove some of your stuff in 1:48! But I know it is really tiny and can be a hassle. Love your 1:24 too - definitely looking for my Fairfield! Debsrand56
Really looking forward to this. More potential inspiration: http://montoutpetitmonde2.blogspot.com/2016/04/petit-trianon-chambre-de-marie_9.html (in French, but can be translated). Sue Cook has some truly lovely plaster work. She is in the UK, but does a good job of packing for shipping overseas. (Not sure where you are located.) Also try searching Etsy for "dollhouse wall panel" for more plaster work and some lovely wallpapers. Have fun!

I will do some in an in-between scale, 1:18 or thereabouts. I have tried some of them in 1:48 with mostly success, but some adjustments needed, specific materials, etc.
NellBell
Danease I'm in love with French too . you will have so much fun. I am currently making a French closet roombox and know iI will procrastinate on a house. I can say they take a lot of planing to get all the details spaced right around a room. I only did two walls and that was a bit of work for just two walls. I didn't make the plaster casting my Hubby bought them for me in Florida at Ron's Miniatures. here's just the very beggining it has changed a lot. Hum not doing so well on the sideways images Also Danease wanted to add in the gold foil area in Michaels or Hobby lobby is a very small bottle of the gold foil paint . I just love it and it works on everything. If you need a picture of it just let me know. One more idea Alpha stamps has what is called Dresden paper trims these also work great and are not expensive. The little trim at the top of the closet is Dresden.
