Hello and greetings from South East Idaho USA.

Total n00b here at constructing Doll houses.

I Build mostly in 1/12 and 1/10 scale and I am currently creating things for a back yard Scale RC Truck course.

A old Farm theme seems to progressing.

That being said. I just purchased two Orchid Doll houses.

Plans are two Kit bash and create something neat from both.

I love scratch building, and looking around brought me to this wonderful forums. Looks to be full of information and beautiful craftsmen ship.

Looking forward to learning new technique's and meeting new friends and most of …… sharing Of Ideas.

Thanks for your time and views.

Research time.

Hi Ron, and welcome to the forum. Your project sounds like great fun. The model car in your other post is well done. If the quality is the same for the rest of the project, you'll have tour buses stopping at your front gate so folks can tour the back yard, :)

Thank you for the warm welcome and encouragement's.

I'm starting to figure out how to transverse the Forums a little at a time.

I've Lots of questions already. ahaahhaaa.

It's all sooo gooood !

One thing I'm very nervous about is throwing lots of money at the hobby and then regretting some of the purchases.

I've done that in the past..hehehehe.

So much to learn on such an old hobby I'm finding out.

But that's half the fun.....RESEARCH.

Could use some help though. On a Quality Catalog for furniture and miscellaneous.

Higher end stuff.

Or links to TRUSTY on line venders.

Thanks again,

Hello and greetings back too you all, thanks again for such a warm welcome.

I couldn't stand it any longer....hehehe

Went to the LHS last night (HOBBY LOBBY) and acquired kit number three of the Orchid.

I did have some restraint and passed on the furniture for the time being.

No going back now. ahahahahahaa

I also purchased the typical screen door and another exterior door along with two octagon windows,

Hardware: Hinges and the simple door plates with knobs.

I'm hoping with 15 plus years of wood working under my belt, ..Mostly building 18th century reproduction furniture.... things move along smoothly .

I've plenty of tools and supplies to help cheat I think on construction.

Thanks again everyone. Very appreciated.

Simply scale your furniture patterns down 1/12 and you're ready to make your won itty furniture!
