KatFord
I've built this faux room and I want to add some light behind that wall. It won't be seen but it will be dark in there when the second floor goes in. What kind do you use? I'm using tape wire and keep in mind I'm a complete novice at this. Thanks, Kim

Sable
Your stairs remind me of my sisters chateau in France. I’ll see if I can find a photo of the 12th century marble steps.

But I'm thrilled with how they turned out. Thanks for the link. That looks perfect.
Sable
On the attached, look at the 7th photo of the stairs. https://search.savills.com/property-detail/gblaixlai180564 it’s 14th century not 12th.

fov
Fluorette bulbs and sockets are another option: https://www.miniatures.com/Fluorette-Socket-with-Nails-P17489.aspx https://www.miniatures.com/12V-Clear-Fluorette-Bulb-P21869.aspx Similar to what Sable suggested but the bulbs are replaceable without having to remove the whole thing from the tape wire.
Sable
That type of stonework around doors is seen all over that part of France. I’m in awe every time I go there.

Those are a good price, too. I think I'm going to get a little supply of those to have on hand. Thanks!

havanaholly
A lot of the Thorne rooms are lit by regular lightbulbs mounted just above and behind to shine in through windows and/ or doorways.
