Medieval
I promised myself I wouldn't start my dh until I finished my son's 80" X 90" Afghan. I'm halfway done. I rationalized I could do it while I wait for stuff to dry....or when I get cold. Lol
Medieval
I'm really looking forward to crocheting minis!
havanaholly
When I began doing needlework in mini I invested in #13, 14, 15 & 16 crochet hooks and # 0, 00, 000 and 0000 knitting pins.
Medieval
I'm just gonna get the old lady magnifying stand up tool when I'm ready to cross stitch on 24 count aida cloth or linen. Why even fool myself? 14 count was getting challenging and that was years ago! lol
havanaholly
Harbor Freight sells my weapon of choice, a clip on jeweler's loupe, for under $5USD.
Medieval
Nice! When you use the additional magnification do you squint one eye shut? Haha haha! But seriously hands free is the key. I need bright light too. It is never bright enough in my house....
Mid-life madness
That is a beautiful blanket, and in my alma Mater's colors too.

No, because I'm usually watching TV while I stitch; look through the loupe to stab the needle, look at the TV screen & repeat. I also stitch two handed, stab down with the left hand & up with the right. With crocheting and knitting it's a toss up between the loupe and a magnifying visor I have with three levels of magnification and a built-in light.
