Clawfoot tubs

I’m making a clawfoot tub and I need some ideas for what to use for the “claw feet” of the tub! Thanks in advance!

Maybe look at jewelry findings. Even if a certain bead is not exact, you can manipulate its shape by cutting it with wire cutters. Then paint it.

Also, sculpting in polymer clay would be a route.

I seem to remember that the Chrysnbon tub is claw footed.  I think the polymer clay would be the way to go.

Thanks for your feedback! I’ve searched the jewelry section at Michales and nothing stood out and I was going to go the polymer clay route but I’m worried about making all four consistent

I wouldn't be able to advise you on how to do it - but some people make their own molds from a single clay item they have sculpted, and then use the mold to make multiples/consistent replications.

Actually only 2 or 3 need to be identical, depending on how the tub is situation in the room.

What about making a mold of a toy lions foot, in the right scale?  The Lion King produced a lot of toys. Then use the mold to make a claw foot for the tub.

Make sure to check sizing. Some will be too big for scale.

Those might be a tad large for 1:12 scale, but it is nice to know that things like this are available. I can see using them elsewhere!
