janinelewis
I'm new to the dollhouse hobby and would like to put an inexpensive house together. I'm planning on building the Vermont Farmhouse Jr. and would like to add the addition to it. Can I cut door frames on the side of the house to add the addition? Color Me Holly
I haven't done an RGT house. This one is MDF right? I cut a hole in the side of the Laurel and the Primrose addtion which is plywood. I don't see why you couldn't. Good luck!
Steve_in_PA
Should be no problem. Just make sure you have good support on both sides of your cut or you could snap the piece in half! I like to use a scroll saw, but if you don't have one, a hand saw with a fine blade will work just as good. Then just clean the edges up with sandpaper. Starfire
Voice of experience!!!!!!! If you can, cut the hole before you put it together. That of course will depend on if you know where the doorway will go. Dry fit everything first. It will help!!
havanaholly
I don't know how a scrollsaw blade would hold up to MDF, maybe a bandsaw would do a better job.
