aggiemae
It was money well spent. Thanks for show it to us! I will do the same when building my apartment house. I put some of the higher peofile tiles into a bathroom on a craftsman and now I will have to raise to floors on the 2dn story of the whole house. Lucky I have not put in the wood floors yet. marknyc
Thanks for all the encouragement. Now the problem is finding good tiles for the bathroom walls. Gerry would like to do the walls in tiles halfway up. Anyone know of a source for either individual wall tiles or sheets of tiles?
Anna
Thanks for all the encouragement. Now the problem is finding good tiles for the bathroom walls. Gerry would like to do the walls in tiles halfway up. Anyone know of a source for either individual wall tiles or sheets of tiles? Perhaps here: http://stores.ebay.com/carat-queen-collections http://stores.ebay.com/maddymay0-142 (although I think these are preinted on cardstock, but look nice) http://stores.ebay.com/Manor-House-Miniatu...5QQftidZ1QQtZkm And then there are the Greenleaf ones? Hugs and good luck in finding the perfect ones!
marknyc
Thanks - we were hoping for the classic look: white tiles with a stripe on top, like the attached image. I'm surprised that it doesn't seem to be available anywhere. The Greenleaf tile page is under construction - do they have anything like that? Anna
The tiles (and I love them!!! ) that are avaliable in the Greenleaf store are tan, brown and grey. They are a dream to work with, I have used both the tiles and the vinyl wood strips yesterday and today and they went in like a charm no warping or difficulties at all... I know I have seen something like this, but I think it is an embossed paper version at Euro minis site, they are a wholesale company though in Netherlands I think... http://www.eurominis.nl/inrichting-tegelvellen.htm Perhaps thry this site who I think are retailers of the Euro mini's stuff: http://www.small-dreams.de/catalog/ Good luck! marknyc
Just finished the bedroom floor - not varnished yet, but I'm so pleased with the border I wanted to show all of you! Once again bought many tiles - I'll see if I can exchange some for tiles for the living room floor. Mark
Anna
Oh Mark, this is another stunner! I just LOVE it!!!! The border and the muted colours are simply perfect! Thank you for sharing! Hugs
marknyc
Actually, only the bed is permanent - the other furniture pieces are just placeholders until we buy the real stuff. Gerry is second-guessing himself on all his choices, but I told him he gets one pick for each wallpaper and floor - I'm not redoing all this work! =)
kokkie
Mark I just took a look at your pics, great!!! Love the wooden floor, did you made that from wooden tiles/pieces?
havanaholly
Mark, I love the bedroom floor. I have had so much fun using the GL vinyl tiles, they are so very versatile!
marknyc
Thanks, Holly, I think the tiles are great, too - just too expensive! =) Kokkie, I used these tiles for the bedroom - also not cheap! http://www.brodnaxprints.com/detail.aspx?ID=397 http://www.brodnaxprints.com/detail.aspx?ID=382 But worth it, I think!
