1. Birth of first son

2. Birth of second son

3. Arriving at the hospital & seeing my mother sitting up in bed after having two back to back heart attacks. The drive there took 6 hours - my sister & I were in a state of panic the whole way - walked into her room and she was embarrassed that she didn't have any make up on! ;) I was so relieved to see her, I thought she'd never looked more beautiful!

4. The day I graduated from college (first person in my family to do that)

5. The day I got the keys to our first home.

1. The day I had the nice policemen come and take away my ex.

2. The day I finally admitted that no matter how much I denied it, I really was in love with Bruce.

3. Any rainy day when I can sit by an open window, listen to the Moody Blues and live in the moment.

4. The day I got my business license for Deb's Minis.

5. The day I joined the building team.

I think more than great days, I have "great moments". Things like climbing a tree to watch the sunset when I was 8.........walking down a deserted street after midnight when I was 17......my first ride on a harley and the way it felt to have the night wind in my hair.......seeing a double rainbow last summer on a day when I was sad.........listening to Kathy laugh........the first time Bruce said he loved me......those individual moments are the ones that stand out in my mind as the greatest times.

the five greatest days of your life?

Gee, only five?

1) The day I learned to swim (learning I can do anything I'm physically capable of) ;)

2) The day I graduated high school (learning some things are worth the wait) :)

3) My wedding day (learning no matter how sure about something I am there's always doubt) ;)

4) The day DS#1's adoption was finalized (realizing the beginnings of our family) :bear:

5) The day I retired (realizing I have more time to learn new things) :artist::plane::skiing:

1) My wedding day

2) The day we got engaged (for dh 1 and 2 would be reversed)

3) Day my nephew first said my name correctly (it took him so long every time he said it that I was sure he wouldn't get it then for a short time he called me Gigi and really thought he was saying Carrie)

4 and 5 I will have to think about

I agree with Deb about great moments. I think the day I realized that the world has many wonderful people in it after being deeply depressed for over a year was one of my great moments. Happened when I was taking a class in CA with a colleague and we ended up spending a night (after I had spent a weekend) with people I had met on a vacation in Mexico. A little crazy but really showed how kind people can be. I also am still in touch with another woman from the class who lives in OK.
